Congrats to all our December grade level Leaders of the Month! Way to go, Tigers!

Fifth graders In Mrs. McCartt’s social studies class concluded a unit on the Great Depression by constructing their own Hoovervilles. Hoovervilles we shanty towns built of all types of supplies as people needed homes after the stock market crash and the banking collapse of the 1930's.

In October, students in kindergarten, 1st grade, and 4th grade learned about Fire Safety from firefighters. They also heard from Teen Miss Fire Prevention Emma Light and Tusculum View 5th grader Violet Leonard, Junior Miss Fire Prevention.

Congrats to all our grade level Leaders of the Month! Way to go, Tigers!

Tiger Time afterschool students learned from Officer Gilbert and the GPD SWAT team. Students learned about the functions of the SWAT team and saw some of the tools used during a call out. The kids were able to go into the SWAT vehicle and sit in the back. They also saw a K9 demonstration with K9 RIP and PASA, and learned how the operation of the K9 unit works.

Miss Greene County Maddie Ratliff (former Tusculum View tiger!) visited TV to speak to our 2nd graders. She is using her platform to support our local community affected by the flood from Hurricane Helene. Second grade students learned from Maddie and then helped create cards for our community. Stay tuned when Tiger News starts up in January- we will have a special interview with Maddie and our own 5th grade 👑 Miss Violet!
