Over the next couple of weeks, EastView will be giving our students and families the opportunity to donate to the local efforts to establish an Isaiah 117 House for the children of Greeneville and Greene County. Most of you have probably heard about it but for those that haven’t , this house would be a temporary “safe haven” for children taken into state custody and removed from their homes. This often occurs late in the night and sometimes the children have nothing more than the clothes they are wearing. Efforts are underway locally to secure funding/staff to make an Isaiah 117 House a reality for the children of Greene County...giving them somewhere safe to go until family or foster care can take them. If you would like to participate, please send your donations to your child’s teacher beginning next week. If you write a check, please make it to EastView School. All funds will be placed in a school account and then a one time, lump sum donation will be made to Isaiah 117 House. We will also be doing some “popcorn days” and other celebrations at school to highlight our efforts and encourage students to participate. Please feel free to contact the school if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your support of this worthy cause!
